About Jamie

Passionate About Inspiring Others

I believe in providing an environment of understanding, encouragement, and hope to allow you work through overwhelming, stressful, and confusing life situations. My therapeutic framework is client-centered and strengths-based, meaning that I recognize you as the expert on your own lived experiences. My goal is to collaborate with you, concentrating on your inherent strengths, to help you work through difficult and uncomfortable emotions, change thought patterns, and support your personal growth.

It takes courage to seek help in dealing with the obstacles which prevent you from feeling content. Change can be rewarding, painful, exciting, and challenging, all at the same time. I am here to help you improve your self-awareness and take pride in what makes you, you.

I have been a practicing clinician in the Pittsburgh area since 2007, and I am now licensed to provide treatment in Pennsylvania, Ohio, North Carolina, and Washington DC as both a Professional Counselor and a Clinical Mental Health Counselor.

I have been working for nearly two decades with people experiencing a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship problems, sexual identity matters, academic stress, navigating major life changes, and trauma recovery. I primarily focus on working with young adults in an individual setting. Throughout my career, I have worked within seven area school districts, as well as community mental health agencies, a group practice, and a psychiatric hospital. I opened my solo private practice in 2017.
